Village Foster Care is a is a London based independent provider whose aim is to provide quality family based placements where the best interest of the child and the family are central to all actions, plans and activities. In order to achieve these aims foster carers will be provided with a high level of support and will be treated as colleagues within a wider team, sharing resources and supporting each other in the best interests of the child and young person.

We firmly believe in the need for children/young people to understand their past, be aware of their present and have an active role in determining their future. WE have a commitment to Life Story Work and all our children/young people will have access to a life story work programme that will be supported by foster carers and resource workers.

	To work with foster carers to enable them to offer levels of permission, control and protection which are appropriate to the age, abilities and understanding of each child and young person.
